The Sutherland Hospital is a 360-bed major metropolitan hospital and an associated teaching hospital of the University of NSW.
The hospital campus offers a comprehensive range of inpatient and community services to around 220,000 Sutherland Shire residents, including surgical, medical, emergency, maternity, child, youth and family, critical care, aged care, rehabilitation, mental health and community-based services.
The hospital has a number of centres of excellence including, Southcare (Division of Aged and Extended Care), Joint Replacement Unit, Sutherland Heart Clinic, Gastroenterololgy, Respiratory Coordinated Care Program and Bariatric (weight management) Program.
The Sutherland Hospital redevelopment project is being delivered by Health Infrastructure in partnership with South Eastern Sydney Local Health District.
