Local amateur photographers were invited to submit their photos of the St George & Sutherland region to brighten the hallways of new buildings at Sutherland and St George Public hospitals. This exhibition features the selected winner and finalists’ photographs.
There will be some disruption for pedestrians and drivers as work commences on the creation of a new pedestrian zone linking the hospital main entry, the car park currently under construction and the new Emergency Department driveway.
Look out for new wayfinding signage and please follow the directions of our traffic controllers.

As part of the Sutherland Hospital redevelopment, we invite local amateur photographers to enter our photography competition to highlight the wonderful community life and natural environment we have here in the Shire.
The winning entries will be displayed in the new building as part of a permanent art collection, bringing inspiration to our hospital patients and staff.
Work has begun on reinstating the car park adjacent to the new building currently under construction and The Kingsway.
While the works are underway, there is no pedestrian access on the hospital campus between the hospital main entry, Pathology (SEALS) and Kirketon Road Centre (KRC) South.
Please follow the signage and walk between the two areas via the public footpaths on Kareena Road and The Kingsway.
Health Minister Jillian Skinner was joined by local MPs on top of Sutherland Hospital’s new multi-storey building to celebrate the highest point of construction.
Sutherland Hospital’s Redevelopment took a leap forward with the first concrete pour to form the ground level slab of the new Emergency Department (ED).
The project milestone coincided with the removal of the hospital’s plant room façade and demolition of the ED annex in preparation for the commencement of construction.
