From 11 December 2015, hospital parking arrangements were modified to enable the start of the hospital redevelopment. This included:
• Temporary closure of Carpark 3 (northern end of the site)
• Relocation of staff Carpark 4 to Carpark 6
• Temporary diversions and limitations on vehicle access from mid January 2016.
Visitors and patients are encouraged to park in Carpark 5 at the southern end of the hospital campus. Access to the carpark is from the roundabout on Kareena Road.
All car parks offer a free 15 minute time frame for dropping off and picking up patients and carers.
Enquiries concerning parking tickets should be directed to the parking office located in the hospital's Main Entry/Reception area on Level 2. A parking ticket machine is located there as well as at the front of the Emergency Department and at the entrance to Car Park 5 (southern car park). Parking can also be paid directly at the car park boom gates with a credit card.
Pedestrian access to the hospital is via the hospital entry points marked on the Sutherland Hospital Map. Patients can be dropped off and collected at these locations with 15 minute parking restrictions.
The hospital reception is located inside the Main Entry on Level 2.
Work has now begun on reinstating the car park adjacent to the new building currently under construction and The Kingsway. While the works are underway, there is no pedestrian access on the hospital campus between the hospital Main Entry and Pathology (SEALS) and KRC South. See the map for details.
Please follow the signage and walk between the two areas via the public footpaths on Kareena Road and The Kingsway.
